Summer Program

During its summer semester, the Saba Institute is happy to offer you a wonderful learning experience in the Arabic language and a fascinating stay in Yemen. In addition to your Arabic courses, you will have th echance to participate in all the following activities here at the institute:

• Trips and tours around Yemen
• Guest lectures by local academics on politics, literature, society and more
• Literary and cultural events
• Group discussions in Arabic on diverse topics
• Screening of Arabic films at the institute
• Traditional Yemeni meals with other teachers and students
• Parties with live Yemeni music
• Lessons from artists on the oud and other traditional instruments

The Saba Institute offers three scheduled semesters, but can be flexible according to students' needs. The scheduled semesters consist of four weeks each - 10 hours a week for private lessons, 20 hours a week for group lessons - and are as follows:

• May 22nd - June 16th
• June 19th - July 14th
• July 17th - August 11th
• August 14th - September 8th
